Dr. Carrie Ruxton
July 29, 2019 1:28 pmDr. Carrie Ruxton is an award-winning dietitian specialising in nutrition communications, with over 30 years of experience.
She began her post-doctoral career as Science Manager at the UK’s Sugar Bureau, before moving into roles in higher education, UK politics, and public health. Since founding her consultancy in 2003, she has supported organisations across the food and beverage sector by translating complex nutrition science into clear, actionable insights.
Her work spans reputation management, new product development (NPD), public relations and affairs, strategy, and staff training.
In 2020, she conceived and helped evolve the Fruit Juice Science Centre (FJSC) from a legacy B2B programme.
She continues to work closely with member companies to commission and oversee a high-quality research programme that underpins the FJSC’s evidence-based communication campaigns.
Beyond the fruit juice sector, Dr Ruxton serves as a board member of Quality Meat Scotland, a non-departmental public body, and as a Director of Resolute Fitness Ltd, owner of the SALT fitness brand.
